The Cairn is a true terrier, born to dig, and, although only a small dog, he is able to move an amazing amount of soil in a short time. He can, of course, be trained not to dig in flowerbeds but digging comes naturally to him and is excellent exercise. If you are a very keen gardener and your garden is your pride and joy, it would be better not to have a Cairn. -
