Difficult peeing - uncontrolled peeing

Hi!

Otto is 10 years and have had difficulties peeing for the last  1 and 1/2 year. He can try to pee for a minute or two without nothing or just a few droplets coming out when he is out walking.

He can sometimes pee huge amount indoors out of the blue like over 1/6 of a gallon.

He has been to ultrasonic imaging and x-ray, and the vet could not find anything wrong with the bladder or tract. However behind the back legs it looks like something which should resemble urine stones in the urine tract outermost in the abdomen. Anyone that is skilled in interpret x-ray is greatly welcome in sharing their thoughts whether or not this is urinestones or anything else of concern.

He did pee 1/8 a gallon before he was investigated with ultrasonic and then the vet drained another 1/8 a gallon rest urine with a cathteter. The vet think it is something wrong with the signaling from brain and nerves and ha put him on 400mg neurontonin which is a epileptic drug for humans. He ha been on this for a month soon no without any improvement regards the peeing hardship.

Help is much welcome!

Hi and welcome. I'm sorry you and Otto are having to solve a mystery.

I don't know anything at all about interpreting x-rays and can only wonder like you what those roundish things are! If you told me they were stones I'd certainly believe you! I hope your vet(s) sort it out.

Best to you and Otto!

He has been to ultrasonic imaging and x-ray, and the vet could not find anything wrong with the bladder or tract. However behind the back legs it looks like something which should resemble urine stones in the urine tract outer most in the abdomen.

HOWEVER there where previously discovered what believed were cysts around the prostate. The vet said they did not see any cysts on the latest examination. I still think that possibly this can be the culprint

However there were stated calcification on the two rear vertebra, I don't know for sure, but maybe this can pinch the nerve that goes to and from the bladder?
