My heart has been in my mouth since I started reading this thread. I wasn't online yestrday, and i'm just taken away with this. I am so sorry that your going through this, I am keeping Barney in my thoughts today. I hope he comes back 100%, this is just heartbreaking.

Don't worry about the minor stuff, just keep the positvie thoughts for Barney. All the other stuff will work itself out after Barney is safely at home. Again our thoughts and prayers are with Barney and your family.

Barney's mom,

I too got up this morning and came to check the forum as soon as I could to hear about Barney. Wonderful news that he pulled through the night. I predict that tomorrow at this time you'll be running around chasing Barney thinking, "how the heck do I keep this little guy inactive while his sutures heal?!?" Little terriers are so tough, its unbelievable. Best wishes.

I checked the Forum too as soon as I could (ok, I am at work and the @#$@& (deleted) system was down) -- am so glad Barney is up and walking, and am sending my thoughts and prayers with everyone else regarding his eyesight -- :hug: to you, Barney, and your family

I too have faith that Barney's eye sight will return good as new. He is young and has recovered remarkably well so far. He sounds like a tough little guy and I know that he will be bouncing around before you know it. It has to be a good sign that you will get to bring him home today! I know you are about to bust to find out. Get him a hig and a kiss from all of us here at Cairn Talk. Like someone else said, soon you will be wondering how you are going to keep the little guy still for 10 days while his stitches heal!! More prayers being said for Barney!

Oh yeah, I would submit the claims to VPI as well. I work for an insurance company (for people not dogs) and you would be amazed at some of the claims that come in here! I am contantly amazed by some of the things that people submit claims for and they get approved. Things I would NEVER think to submit. All they can do is say no and you may get a pleasent surprise, they may say yes!!

I am at work too, and everyone is wondering what happened because the tears won't stop. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and especially little Barney. With all our prayers and the Cairn spirit, he is bound to come out of this with flying colors. It is truly amazing how these furbabies capture our hearts.

I'm with Somer here- submit it.

I was just checking in for any new news.... I know he'll get his eyesight back! He is has youth on his side.

Lots and lots of :pray: still going for Barney. I'm specializing my prayers now - St. Lucy who is the Patron Sight of Eyesight and St. Francis of Assist, Patron Saint of Animals.

I can't get Barney off of my mind and had to check to see if there's been an update. I'm staying positive that he will have a full recovery. My thoughts and prayers continue.
