Sssshhhhhhhhh dont wake him...this is now dads relaxation time.

what followed was a 54 year old ex soldier tiptoeing out of the room holding his breath like he was back in training20231007_140401.thumb.jpg.4075da85c1e824c65d53f1351f278f2b.jpg ...sshhhhhhhhhh

A true Highland Cairn..hardy, tenacious stong willed and loyal. Able to withstand all weathers with ease and be a stoic watchdog and alerting the pack to the postie, cats, blown leaves, rustling tree branches and birds....no one is going to sneek up on his family unaware!

Not for him the trappings of luxury or the security of his centrally heated house when he has a job to perform.

Nope, these new generation of Cairns have it far too easy.

Oohhhh, wrong photo

Yes thats what i thought looking at the picture before reading the txt.A lot more hair but that face very similar.

What a cutie also.

I have loved looking at the photos others have posted in the Gallery page. There has been one or two where i have had to do a double take as a few of them look like the spitting image of our Maggie who passed earlier this year

Makes me smile seeing such well loved Cairns and the obvious fact that they invariably look as though they all rule the roost lol.

Here is our Maggie, a fantastic companion in every way. Much missed.

Toys galore, my every need taken care of, but sometimes the greatest pleasure comes from the simplest items.

Who needs fancy memory foam dog beds

In the old Highland crofting days it wasnt unusual for the bairns to be put in the drawer too sleep.....it would seem that Ghillies Highland DNA runs deep.

Have a great Christmas and New year everyone wherever you are and however you celebrate
