Our Ozzy, he will live on in our hearts

Sorry to have to meet you under such sad circumstances. You will find much love and comfort

from this Cairn Terrier family. Many of us, including me, have experienced your pain

first hand. My Holdsworth, whom I lost in December of 2000, looked much like Ozzy.

I miss him still.

God bless, and should you ever bring another Cairn child

into your lives we'll be your best cheerleaders and closest friends!

We jumped right back in. We have a 6 month old Cairn named Emmy. It had been 14 years since we had a 8 week old puppy in the house and forgot how much work they are. Luckily she has a 2 YO Westie brother named Mac to help keep her occupied.

BTW, I think she is going to look a lot like your pups. Black muzzle & outer coat & silver undercoat. She is a looker & she knows it!

Welcome to the Cairn Forum. I'm sorry for your loss of Ozzy. I know how much it hurts. I am blessed w/ 3 Cairns ranging from 3 1/2 to 6 1/2. They also have a little 16 mth old Westie brother, so it stays pretty lively around here.

Hope you enjoy the forum. There's some great people here w/ great stories and advice.

Aww I'm so sorry for your loss of Ozzy. I know to well the pain and sorrow. I lost my Cairn princess Missy November 9th 2004 at the age of 17. A few months later my hubby and son brought home Kramer who is now 3 and he is such a joy. At first, it took me months to bond with him. I really took Missy's death hard. Still, after the years gone by I miss her each and every day. I love my girl and I love Kramer, just in a different way. Each have there own personality and character.

Rhonda,Kramer & Angel Missy "Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog". "It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are" Missy Rainbow Bridge Memorial

Sorry for the loss of Ozzy. I lost my Sandy almost a year ago February 6. He was a week shy of his 14th birthday. It was the hardest thing I have ever gone through. That is wonderful you now have Emmy. That is an adorable name. I still haven't gotten my nerve up to get another, but I will someday. There is nothing like the love of a cairn.
