For two days in a row, I have come home from work to be greeted by a very cairnated dead Mole in the garage. When this first happened on Tuesday I thought that a mole found its way into the dog run- Last night I found another newly killed Mole that the boys had cairnated...

I looked in the dog run, and they have been doing some digging inbetween the 3 inches of space between some of the patio stones that make up the floor of the dog run. It's the first time a critter had been so foolish to tunnel up in the dog run (which is like Ft. Knox).

I am hopeful that the Moles have learned to not use the tunnel they have in the dog run, I don't want another 'present'.

Thank Goodness Mett & Bratt are vigilant and on duty! Who knows what may have happened to you if you didn't have those 2 Cairn Guard Dogs to protect you!! It's all toooo scary to think about!! Good job, Guys, you deserve lots of treats!

Mole killing has become a cottage industry, from traps to gas to even silly things. Moles have extremely heightened senses that generally keep them out of trouble.

Guess they're no match for your cairns!

Maybe you should hire them out..........

Greg- LOL You know I think the Moles in our yard are are lacking those extremely heightened senses because the boys will kill at least One a week apeice when the weather is warmer. They work in a team and start digging toward the mole so it ends up trapped in its tunnel in the middle. I've seen the boys nap a mole while on our walks in the neighboorhood too. I think once we have the backyard fence finished and Cairn-proofed i'll have holes and dead moles everywhere.
