Duck Rider

By now many of you have heard of Packy's fishing abilities -- he catches small fish in our lake either by sitting on a low platform near the water and dunking his head in for them, or he catches them when he's swimming in the lake. Now he's added a new prey to his line-up.

Today a mallard was swimming near shore, going for a piece of bread I threw in. They get pretty tame around here because we feed them scrap bread a lot. Normally Packy will just chase the ducks off shore but today he ran over and literally jumped right on top of that duck! He was "riding" it like a bucking bronco while the duck flapped around and quacked loudly! I'm still laughing because it was the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Anyway, the duck finally swam away, minus a couple of feathers. Packy didn't bite it or hurt it; he just rode it!

We're calling him the Duck Rider now!

WOW you almost had Christmas Duck! Packy was really telling you to change the food to fresh right out of the lake meal, just kidding. Sounds like a real AFV (America's Funniest Video) winning moment.

Ya'll have a Merry Christmas, and keep the stories coming.
