I own a Lab and we would like a smaller dog as a companion. There is an adult Cairn Terrier that is at the local SPCA. I guess it was abandoned. I have an adoption visit tomorrow and I would like to know, from some Cairn experts, what I should watch out for that in this intial meeting. Are there traits or characteristics that would not be considered normal besides the nervousness I'm sure it feels. I want to make sure that this dog is healthy and in good shape both physically and mentally.
