It will be a few weeks before we can bring him home, but I went to see him yesterday and picked him out. It was a toss up between two. We were just waiting to be able to see what their personalities were like before picking one. My

My husbands cousin owns a Cairn that my daughter fell in love with and his name is Wilson. She is insisting on calling ours Wilson as well. She's only 3! We like the name Griffon too, but I don't think we are going to get her to change her name. Anyway...here he is.

The breeder isn't real happy with his coat, but I think he's adorable and we'll love him no matter what his coat looks like.

It's a ride of your life, and worth every minute of it.

Yes, the ride of your life... (as I keep reminding myself with muddy footprints and a chewed off bed zipper today....) but I love them to pieces...

PS...His coat looks just fine and dandy! I wouldn't fret even a second!!! He is a tank for 5 weeks though! Holy cow! His mommy must be skin and bones now ;) lol. Again, congrats on your new addition!!!

I look at him and think of names like "Bruiser", "Brutus", or "Bear". I think he's adorable w/ that thick coat. This one breeder I saw on the internet sells Westie pups double and triple coat and gets big $$'s for the triple coats. Your little guy reminds me of one of the tripple coat pups. Are you going to let him try out for football when he's older? I can't wait to see more pics of him.

My house always has brown paw marks on the floor anyway...we have two labs that love the mud!!!

My husband did mention last week that "Bear" would be a good name for him, but there is no way our 3 year old is going to change her mind. She is determined his name is "Wilson". He's a real cutie patutie I know that. I must have kissed him 20 times yesterday. Can't wait to bring that little bugger home. I'll be sure to post more pictures when I do.

Very cute! Don't worry about the coat--some dogs are destined to be showdogs, others are destined to be love-bunny pets.

(But I would seriously think twice about his name, unless you've already spoken to your cousin and he/she is OK with you using the same name. Some people are very protective of their pup's name within the extended family, no matter how young your daughter is and how cute it may be for her to want her "own" Wilson.)

My husband told his cousin and she thought it was cute.

We have two sets of friends (distant relatives of each other) with the last name of Wilson. They'll love it! LOL

What a cutie!!!! I love the name ideas that people posted!

It's funny, we had a whole list of names for Barney, but now I look back and think....the only name that would fit him would be the one we gave him!! Although he has aquired a few aliases along the way!

The Barnstormer

Psycho Pup

Dr. Destructo

Master of Distaster

"B" (my daughter's favorite!)

...and of course the other ones that come along in a fit of rage! Think of them as names in some secret dog language! :D

Yoocrayzeemutt

Doggawnit U. Crayzeedog

Quitcherbarkin

Shuttupp Cancha

Lookitwhatteedid

Wuttuvwedun

I'm sure there are more, but those are the usuals around our house!!

All creatures great and small, the Lord God, He made them all!
