Cairnless for the holidays

Is it a bad sign that my dog's been at the kennel for less than 24 hours and I'm already logging in with hopes of seeing pictures of other folks pups because I miss mine? :( Oh, boy he has me wrapped around his little paw!

Currey gets to spend his holidays at the kennel, as we live quite far from family, and bringing the hyper little guy on the plane just wouldn't work. The good news is that we found a fantastic new kennel way out in the countryside. I was a little wary going to a new place without seeing it first, but after 5 minutes there, I knew that he'd have more fun there than on vacation with us! Its a small family run kennel, and it has only about 36 runs. The runs are all indoor, and there are 3 fenced in yards connected to the kennel doors. They let each dog out seperately for a potty/play break for 10 - 15 minutes at least 4 times a day. When we got there, the owner took Currey off his leash and let him run up and down the kennel and harrass all the other dogs behind bars before kenneling him up! While we filled out the paperwork, his daughter came in with a dog on a leash and returned him to a kennel - apparently all the "cute little ones" end up in the owner's house for part of their stay because they love to play with the dogs...my money is on my little bugger working his way into that house pretty quickly. And the real kicker - since they are way out in the country, its cheap! Okay...enough about that. Hope all of you and your cairns have a great Christmas!

I understand, Jodi. It is hard leaving them behind, but I don't think they think of time like we do. Currey will probably be distracted by all of the new smells and dogs. Enjoy your time w/ your family and then look forward to the best present of returning to Currey. I received your card today and he really is adorable.
