Nature's Guardian Flea treatment for Dogs

Barney's Mom

Recommended Posts

Hi, everyone!

I was in Walmart today and to my surprise I saw a natural flea and tick treatment for dogs made by Sergeant's. It contains only natural oils like peppermint and citronella. It is applied exactly like Frontline, in the dog's parted hair behind the neck.

There are some warnings on it, but from my advertising experience, if a product says "repellent", even if it is all natural, you have to slap warnings on it and all kinds of disclaimers. It does say that it shouldn't get in the dog's mouth, just like regular flea and tick products.

I would love to know if anyone has tried this product and any good/bad experiences that you had with it.

Thanks!!

Mary

I haven't tried it - but I like the sounds of natural oils and stuff - I know I've tried pepermint oil on the girls and I for mosquitos - and it's helped. I'm one of those people who are highly allergic to topical chemicals so I can't use deet - let me know how it works out - didn't know they made it :)

Just my .02.....

I think I would check with your vet before using any meds OTC first.

I agree with Cathy- You don't want to find out that it's not working by having a flea outbreak.....
