toomanypaws Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 I've got to give my daughter credit. She comes up w/ the cutest ideas to entertain the Cairns. She decided to have a puppet show using the Cairn's dog toy hand puppets. This really got their attention. I wish you could hear my dd changing her voice to keep them interested. It finally was too much for Kiara when her favorite beaver took the stage again. She had to have him. Oh to think like a child and act like a Cairn! Talk about stress free living. Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)

Barney's Mom Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 That is a hoot, Beth!!!!! I love it!! I think Barney would have Mr. Chipmunk for lunch! One move and it would have been too much for him!! All creatures great and small, the Lord God, He made them all!
kayharley Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Those are some of the best pics I've seen and so fun!! I'm grinning from ear to ear.
savannahsmom35 Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 I am so impressed that they just sat and watched. No way would Savannah have been that still!!! What a great idea. We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made. -M. Acklam Savannah's Dogster Page
Kathryn Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 I wish I had been in the "balcony" watching over that show! Your daughter has to be good with dogs to keep them sitting like that. ALlie would have attacked at the entrance of the first "character."
AllAboutPetey Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Those are the cutest pictures ever! I love the 2nd one with the Zebra puppet shot from behind Kiara, Abbey, and Hannah. Those pictures just made my day!
Eliz222 Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Your DD is very creative! I want to know how long they sat there before lunging for the puppets...lol! Scout would have lasted about a minute...Finch...about 10 seconds!
Lisad Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 There are a lot of cute pictures posted on this site but these have got to be some of the cutest I've ever seen. Kudos to your dd - what a sweetheart for coming up with such a neat idea.
TNA Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 What great photos. I know Digger is only a puppy, but I don't think he could have sat still that long with any of his toys in play. Ang.
mrskti Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 oh my gosh, how cute was that!!! The one reminded me of Dori running up to the TV when some critter comes on. BTW, send your dd over to babysit please!!!!! Terry, mom of Dori and Ellie Mae
maggie Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Those pictures are great, I can't imagine 3 of them sitting still at the same time and watching....Your dd needs to open a doggie daycare, she could offer entertainment & massage therapy!!!!
CathyAnn Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Beth...oh, what a hoot!!! I had DH come take a look and he laughed and laughed!! Cathy Cathy and Piper
kcsdogs Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Okay just one thing I would like to say here.......there should be a law against that kind of blatant cutesness!!! What adorable puppers they are! They look like they are engaged in the story and everything!
toomanypaws Posted July 20, 2006 Author Posted July 20, 2006 Wow! Thanks for all of your compliments! I showed my dd and she just smiled. She really is amazing w/ the Cairns. She'll play doggie day care w/ them and come up w/ all sorts of games to play. I walked in once, and she had all three sitting on different tile squares in the kitchen. They tend to listen better indoors than in the yard. She set up her puppet show and did ask me to call them and make them sit. They were babygated in the kitchen area, so they really aren't that perfect. Once dd started talking w/ the puppet, they all immediately were captivated by her show. What a joy it is to have three Cairns! Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
