Savannah got dive bombed

So Savannah was outside barking at the birds. This blue jay came out of no where and dive bombed her!!! She rolled over on her back and started pawing the air. Then she rolled back over, put her ears back and her tail between her legs and won't get out from underneath my feet. LOL! I think she is traumatized. Anyone know a good puppy therapist??? LOL LOL :D

Note: no animals (dog or blue jay) were harming in the making of this Funniest Home Videos moment. Too bad I didn't have my camera! I would be a rich woman!

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.

LOL! Those Blue Jays are quite the ornery ones, eh Savannah? I've got one Collie that barks and chases the birds too. After getting dived bombed a couple of times myself, I've learned not to stand next to him in the backyard, during nesting time. :)

That is too funny....

I hate the bluejays on my feeders. Just their presence will make the Cardinals, Titmouse and the adorable chickadees head for the hills. They are beautiful birds but nasty.

Tell Savannah we can always round up some forum Cairns to head out to your place and kick that birds butt.

We have some Blue Jays that pick on the girls too - they stand still like statues when they fly by like they were turned into stone - so funny. I sure wish they'd get some courage and chase the darn woodpeckers - they kill my house every spring!

Ah, yes....bluejays!

We have not yet had any experiences with Barney, but when I was a little girl and we had cats that went outside, they were always tormented by bluejays. You always knew if one of the cats was outside because the jays would start screeching! Then one look out the window would confirm that one of the cats was walking across the lawn.

I agree, they are beautiful, but big and nasty birds!

Poor Savannah.... Barney sends a comfort lick! :)

All creatures great and small, the Lord God, He made them all!

We have Bluejays in our yard, and I never knew they were mean! I'm glad that we haven't had any problems with our dogs....they just love to chase the birds (and anything else with 4 legs!).

We have had a share of experiences with cardinals and blue jays....protective little buggers when they are protecting a nest. Poor Savannah.....

Must be Georgia Blue Jays they are mean to my furry kids and they dive bomb them. Early this evening the Cardinals were playing around and they landed in front of Rebel and he paid no attention to them but when the blue jays are around he goes after them

Maybe he likes the beautiful red birds!

No Blue Jays here, but lots of sweet Mockingbirds. I hope Savannah isn't traumatized too long. On our recent trip to N.C., we had a Hummingbird feeder hung on our front porch. I was surprised at how aggressive those little things can be towards eachother. We have them here in FL too, but I've never seen them fight w/ eachother. Maybe it was the nectar in the feeder that they didn't want to share. They got used to us on the porch and even dive bombed the dogs. We had our Lab, Thor and Hannah w/ us. Hannah got very curious about them, but our big sissy Lab ran behind my rocking chair to hide from them. I'll have to post some pictures when I get a chance.
