bradl
This is a children's picture book with cute Cairnish illustrations of a terrier named, by his own reckoning, Murphy-stop-that. We've used this book as a gift for fellow Cairn friends and even donated a copy as a silent-auction fund-raising item. It is cute enough that it fetched more than double its cover price. A brief quote from Kirkus Reviews: Provenson departs from lofty themes, delivering a spot-on interpretation of the inner life of a terrier, and the humor in many of the scenes is priceless. There is so little story that readers who do not share the author's evident enthusiasm for dog psychology may well be unimpressed; dog lovers, however, should lap this up. If you ever feel exasperated by a misbehaving real Cairn, spending a few minutes flipping through this book will remind you of the humor and joie de vivre that animates the typical Cairn, and that you're not alone.
