Acronyms

I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent educated woman, but I must tell you I'm having a heck of a time learning what all the letters mean.

and on and on.

Is there a dictionary available? Can someone please help me. I don't even know if it is specific to this forum or is standard for all forums. This is my first forum.

Any clues you can pass on it would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I'm losing some of the meaning in these threads.

BTW = by the way

DD = darling daughter

DW =darling wife

dh= darling husband

The one that always baffled me was LOL, which I understand means Lord oh Lord!

TTYL = Talk To You Later (not, apparently Ta Ta You Loser, as I once thought )

IMO = In My Opinion

IMHO = In My Humble Opinion

WRT = With Regard To

IIRC = If I Recall Correctly

NILIF = Nothing In Life Is Free (problem dogs - possibly most dogs - should be on this program)

I think we all ought to make up our own, just for this forum! Some would be very easily understood by Cairn owners:

DDD.....darn destructive dog! Or another expletive if it suits you better!
