grooming ears

Okay, I have been practicing pulling the hair off Cricket's top 1/3 of her ears. So far she has been fairly agreeable about it.

Do I pull out the hair on the inside of the ear too?

 During my grooming 101 I was given a :nono: because I haven't been pulling out the hair in the inside of the ears.... So yes it goes. But only pull the stuff that's inside the ear. My teacher had this Dr. Scholls small heel stone on a stick. It was very narrow and she used that to pull the inside ear hairs. I've been looking everywhere for like as slims as hers was and haven't found it yet.... it was like the same size as a sharpie marker. I found that when you use a pumice stone/stick it give you holding power on the hair and removing it is easier....... Of couse i'm sure the Dog doesn't feel the same.

i'll look for that tool, thanks.

Not the outside of the ear? I am confused.

To prevent ear infections you really want the inside of the ear to be clean and hair free, so stripped of all hair..... the outside velvet I would just trim with some scissors.... you want hair on the backside of the ears...

Too much hair everywhere before stripping
