Gardening with dogs

This is my new gardening buddy! Finch is either totally wet from trying to "eat" the hose water, or she is stuck on the deck watching me garden!

Here she is stuck on the deck......poking her head out as far as she can!

Here Finch is after playing with the hose. She doesn't seem to understand that my FLOWERS need the water, not her!

Scout? She spends her time trying to roll in wet juicy worms!

Well you can tell she's having fun, look at that smile!!! Too cute. Dori is a worm girl too, grosses me out. We have a 1/4 mile driveway, so when it rains, that makes for a shmorgasboard (sp?) of worms! Yuk!!!

Piper LOVES my gardening gloves!!

He tries to grab them while they are on my hands!! Try pulling weeds with a little  going after your hands!! He makes it very hard to get much done sometimes.

What a face!! I love the smile with the pretty white teeth showing. I guess that's the reason we don't have much in the way of flowers in our backyard, Darcy and Molly would be more than happy to dig them up as I'm setting them out. We do have one azalea bush that's too big for them to mess with. They just get under it after it rains and come in all wet and doggy smelling.

My DH planted some tomatoes and if we didn't have a fence around them, they'd be dug up for sure.

Finch is so pretty! I hope she got a treat for all her "help". You couldn't have done it without her. :D

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.

what a sweet face. Teona is the same way outside. If it's wet or muddy she's right in it. Her new nickname is Dennis the Menace

Sunday Elliott watched me plant some thyme around their playground ramp. It's supposed to be extremely durable ground cover. He had to sniff it, lick it and when I didn't say "NO, Leave It", he just left it alone all by himself.

Maybe that's the clue...if it's okay to mess around with then it isn't any fun.

Shoe, how do I love Finch? Let me count the ways.... Great pics

Beautiful picture! I can't have Abbey anywhere near me if I'm gardening and have the hose close by. If the water isn't turned on, she'll yap at the hose for me to turn it on. If it is on, she'll yap for me to squirt her. :w00t:
