Mia was M.I.A.

For about 10 minutes today, Mia was missing! As we were getting ready to leave , we could not find Mia. I knew she was in the house, so at first I did not panic, but after we checked all her hiding spots and rang the bell on the door and she still did not come out, I started to panic, wondering where she could have gone. We checked outside and in the garage (even though we knew she wasn't there). Suddenly, it occured to me to check the 1/2 bath we rarely use and usually keep closed. I opened the door and sure enough there she was, lying down, waiting patiently for me to find her! I had been in there earlier to put the rug down and she must have followed me in! It is a tiny little space, I don't know how I didn't notice, but I did not!

That's happened to me more times than I can count. These Cairns are like little weasels and can squeeze by us without us knowing.

Glad she was safe and didn't get into any bathroom goodies.

Dori is always going into the guest bathroom and the door closes behind her, then we start hearing this mysterious barking....she's such a silly girl!!!

It's funny when we lose our Cairn in the house. When I let my three out the kitchen door, through the garage, and then out the side garage door to a fenced side yard, I do head counts as their marching back in. It's happened more than once that I was in a hurry w/ them and rushed them back in, only to find one missing. It's so cute to open the door and see a little tail wagging as tho you were playing a game.

Glad Mia was missing inside your home.

Hey, Mia! How come you didn't unroll the toilet paper while you were in there? Come to think of it, I haven't done that in a while.

Gotta go!

Woof!

Glad you found Mia... Yesterday as I was getting ready for work I heard barking... I left the laudry room ajar, and Mett&Bratt pushed it open, but it closed behind them....

In my house we typically loose a cat in a closet. Last weekend Sophie vanished briefly. You guessed it she was in the bottom of the linen closet asleep on some towels. I routinely close that door a zillion times a day (it's warped and won't stay shut) and guess she was investigating when I popped it shut. She was very delighted to see me.

This has happened to us many time too! The last time we lost Finch, we found her in our car!! She was in the closed car, in the closed garage.....dh must have gone to the car to retrieve something and since Finch loves car rides, she jumped right in. It's VERY scary not being able to find them in the house!
