Nice weather!

Except for the past few days, our temps have been in the 50's and 60's for the past several weeks. The girls have enjoyed many walks in the park! We have had alot of rain, so they haven't been able to play in the backyard too much, but they enjoy the deck on sunny days. I am sooooo thankful for the gates we have on our deck...it's just one big playpen for the girls! Here are some pictures I took one sunny day.

*ignore the winter sowing packages behind them.....I start tons of seeds during the witer months.

These pics were taken before I brushed their fur and teeth! It's much easier to groom them outside...less messy!

Isn't the taste of spring wonderful this time of year? Finch and Scout look very happy to be outdoors. Is that the original frisbee? And why don't their tags have any teeth marks in them? Elliotts rabies tag looks like it came out of the garbage disposer!

Great pics!!

I loved those pictures!!!! I'm with a lot of others - how come all "our" toys are chewed or have holes in them???? Scully's rabies tag is all chewed as well.

What the heck are the rest of us doing wrong? :P

Cute pictures!

It looks like the girls could squeeze between the bottom horizontal rail and the deck floor if they decided to make a run for it. Can they escape? Or maybe it doesn't matter, if the rest of yard is fenced in. What's the story? Just curious.

Those are great pictures, Shoe. I always love seeing pics of Scout and Finch. I remember first finding this forum was when you had posted a pictre of Finch as a pup and I fell in love w/ her cuteness. Your two must be better behaved than mine. I think Kiara would squeeze her big body through the railing if she could. I'm glad Abbey and Hannah are "mommy's girls".

Thanks everyone for the compliments!

No, they can't squeeze through the bottom rail, although after you mentioned it, it DOES look like they can (from the angle I took the picture), but BELIEVE me....they are way too big to get through! LOL!

I'll have to try to get a picture of their heads sticking through the rails. They like to stand at the edge, with their head through the rails and "watch" the backyard.

We don't have a fenced in backyard, which is why my DH built the gates. It's great for wet, muddy weather because they can be outside in nice weather but I don't have to worry about all that mud! Our backyard doesn't have as much grass as our frontyard does. Scout LOVES to sit out on the deck for hours. Finch would rather be inside with me. On really warm days, I keep the back door open so they have the option of being outside or inside the house.....until the bugs show up this spring!

You have beautiful girls!! I am envious of your deck and rails! We have a fenced in backyard but Savannah always knows where to find the MUD! YUCK!

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.
