Scully'sMom
Seeing the post with the beautiful drawings of the Cairns made me this of this. My SIL, knowing Ginger wasn't going to live much longer, surprised me with this beautiful drawing she did of her. She took lots of photos of her and then drew her for me. It's one of my prized possessions. Thanks for letting me share her with you all!
brin145
I can see how that portrait is a prized possession! Ginger's face was lovingly drawn and I can just imagine how much she is missed at your house. What a sweet drawing...I'm so glad that your SIL was so caring. toomanypaws
Isn't is wonderful to have someone in your family capture your beloved pet? Just like my sister captured my precious Lab, (picture is under the "what do you collect?" post), your SIL did a great job capturing your Ginger. Oh to have such talent. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)

Dawnya
I was hesitant to open this as I'm still a bit raw from Ellie May passing nearly three years ago! (14 yo Ridgeback) My sis-in-law painted her picture for me. It's my favorite. Very nice memorial - thanks for letting us see it!

wags
Scully's, She looks like a nice lady you would sit with on an old-fashioned porch. (I don't know why, but I can look at animals and see them as people.)
savannahsmom35
Beautiful picture. Thank you for sharing. We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made. -M. Acklam Savannah's Dogster Page

abe's dad
I have been trying a new way of dealing with grieving for a pet. I try to focus on good memories and try to be grateful for having been able to share their life. But it is hard sometimes. Thanks for sharing your pic, great SIL you have there. Scully'sMom
She looks like a nice lady you would sit with on an old-fashioned porch. It's funny that you say that. Ginger would sit for hours out front with me in the spring and summer on the patio while I read. She loved to sit on the front steps so she could see everything going on in the neighborhood. When my neighbors, two doors down would come out she'd want to go visit and she'd look at me like "Can I go Mom?" I'd tell her "Go ahead" and she'd walk nicely across the next door patio to get to the neighbors. Then they'd tell her "Okay, it's time to go home" and she'd walk nicely back to the house. We'd laugh and say we were going to put a purse around her neck because she looked like a woman who was going visiting!
