Year of the DOG

I went in to get my nails done today and my little nail lady was telling me she was excited about Chinese New Year coming up on Sunday 29th.

She also said it will be Year of the DOG!

She said it will be good luck this year to get a new puppy.....................

I laughed because I really don't think I could handle another dog right now

I guess if anyone was thinking of adding to your doggie family, it's the perfect time!

Funny you should mention this....my breeder just emailed me and said she has a batch of new puppies and wanted to know if I knew anyone who wanted one. I don't think we can handle a third...at least not now......but this IS a good year....year of the dog!

Bear's new Golden Retriever sibling was born on Jan. 4th and will be coming to live with us in March. We are so excited. It will probably be a few years before I can get another Cairn puppy. The GR will bring us back to 3 dogs. I'll have to wait until our oldest dog, a 12 yr. old Sheltie/Cocker mix leaves this world. Frankly, I'm not ready for her to do that so I'll be patient about another Cairn.

MAKE it a GREAT day!!! :D

Being we're at 5 dogs here, I'll have to say "no thanks" to a puppy. :P I'm at my limit right now. Wouldn't you know that I was born in the Year of the Dog, amazing. :)
