How Many Meals for Puppy?

Recommended Posts

Okay I have misplaced the sheet the breeder gave me in regards to how many meals to feed Bella......

She has currently been having 4 meals a day , but is now 12 weeks old and has been cut back to 3 now.

Just wondering when I cut her down again, to 2 and then down to 1

Thanks guys! B)

We continued to feed Fergus three times a day until he was approximately six months. He was then switched to twice a day..where he remains. He's a year old now. We tried feeding him once day but he seemed to be getting too hungry between meals.

Roxy has been on 2 meals a day from about 4 months. She wasn't eating everything I gave her so I figured she was ready to drop the third meal. I don't know when to cut her down to one meal though, she is 5 months.

Finch dropped her third meal right after we picked her up from the breeder. She just wouldn't eat the middle meal, so we switched to twice a day at the age of 8 weeks. She ate two meals a day until she was about 8 months.....if memory servers me well.

Savannah decided when we cut back her food. At about 4 1/2 months old, she stopped eating her mid-day meal. Vet said that meant she didn't need it anymore so we dropped it. A few months back, she stopped eating her morning meal so now she is fed once a day.

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.
