Raddy79, around our house we call that "cooling the jewels" - even when the girls do it :P We call Harry's posture "frogging out." There's another posture I'd love to get a picture of where our male (and even occasionally Stella or Echo, but never Barley) sits on the sofa and literally puts his elbow up on the armrest. We call that "elbow man."

That is the cutest picture. I don't know about the sleeping part but I've seen Maddy and Elliott recline in that position. How it makes me laugh.

That picture is adorable!

It's funny that you posted about sleeping positions.....I was just thinking about trying to take pics of the way my two sleep.....any way you can twist the body is how they sleep! I found Finch today sleeping "on" her bed. The bed is against the wall and she was sleeping on her back with all 4 legs up in the air. Her body was between the wall and the pillow, with her head resting on the floor in front of the pillow....hard to describe...but so funny to see!

Savannah often sleeps on her back like that but I have yet to get a picture of her that way.

I think this is her other favorite sleeping position

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.

These sleeping pictures are just so cute. Tink sleeps so sweetly and I have pictures that I will try to post when I get home. I just wanted to tell Savannah that Tink says hello and we think you two are twins. You look just like Tink when she sleeps - she even wears a purple collar. Tink loves to curl up on something - a pillow, our clothes, a throw. Yesterday she curled up in a ball on a very small pillow. She had to make herself a very tight ball to get on that pillow, but she did it. What a joy she is.

I look at how these guys nap sometimes and I just can't believe it could be comfortable. Especially the ones with the head hanging over the edge of something or lolling about at some odd angle.

All those puppies are so adorable...I want to squeeze them!

It's hard to believe those angels that are sleeping soon wake up and are terriorists!

These pictures are so cute. Alfie does like the cooling the jewels position especially on our sofa. My brother in law commented that he looks so exposed.

I also have to post new pictures of Alfie. He was laying on his side sleeping and we just kept on taking pictures of him with his new best friend, the chipmunk toy. We placed the toy on his nose, under his paw, on top of his head, and Alfie did not even budge. He was half awake the entire time; his eyes would open then very slowly close, only to open again because we were just being a nuisance to him. :P

Savannah usually curls up on something too! Maybe Tink and Savannah are long lost twins. She had a difficult time potty training and from what I remember, so did Tink. Amazing how they can be so similar. I would love to see some pics of Tink sleeping to compare!

LOL I just looked at all the pictures again and Harry looks like a wild animal fur rug!

WOW!! Dogs that sleep????

Pepper is 4 1/2 months now and we have NEVER seen her sleep. She just keeps going and going. If we get up in the middle of the night she's always sitting up waiting for her next adventure. :halo:

I just love all these sleepy pics.

Neither of my girls sleep on their backs. Tabby is usually always in "frog dog" position and Teona curls up in a ball.

Here's some older sleeping pics.

I just love all of these adorable pictures! Kiara and Abbey usually curl up together. I have seen Abbey and Hannah sleep on their back, but I don't have a picture. Here's one of Hannah asleep as Abbey seems to wonder how she could be comfortable. :)

I think they need a bigger bed. I've caught Teona and Tabby sleeping together in a similar bed, but they move as soon as you go grab the camera. They sometimes crawl into the same crate at night and snooze :)

Since that worked, maybe I'll get one of the two of us in our favorite position!

My dh snapped this one night without my knowledge, and now I'm showing it to all the world but it is sooo typical of us... Glad you can't hear us snoring!!!
