Snails

Roxy has a disgusting habit she loves eating snails from my garden, first she throws them about like a cat playing with a mouse, then she eats them, YUK! all the bits get stuck on her wiskers.

I had a laugh tonight, my 14 year old upright went to kiss pup goodnight but realized Roxy had a mouth full of squished up snail. She put her down real quick and ran to her room squealling in horror with Roxy chasing her. It was sooo funny

Ooohhh, there's no better treat in the world than a cricket is there?? I have another pet in the house and he requires crickets for food. I buy crickets by the dozen and house them seperately. However, a very special treat for Harry is when he finds a lose cricket running around in the kitchen. It's like Christmas all over again.

No snails here either, but like Shoe my precious little Hannah loves those blasted worms. Thanks goodness for those pet wipes!

Lisad, I see there's someone else here who has to feed crickets to something. What reptile do you have? To be quite honest, I hate those darn crickets! We have 2 beardies and 2 geckos, which my Cairns love observing. My oldest Cairn, Kiara thinks it's her mission in life to find any crickets who might be on the loose in the sunroom. I've even caught her snapping at the aquarium glass at one.

When we're at our florida place, the girls love to roll around outside on these nasty little slug like things...I'm not sure they actually are, but they are nasty!! I keep a tight reign on them!!

We don't have snails but we had plenty of crickets this past summer. Kai-lee went crazy with them! She also loves worms, which really gross me out....I'll take the crickets anytime...as long as they're outside! Snails would fall in with the worms....I don't want anything slimey....

Ahhhhhhh, the crickets....my dogs (especially Finch) began to look like bunny rabbits when they were outside...bouncing all around the yard trying to catch the little critters...lol

is it safe for them to eat snails and crickets? my pup ate some ants that were crawling on a piece of food (candy, bread, butter - no idea, it had been on the street in the sun for days and he gulped it down!:sick: ), and i was so worried. :(
