TheScotts
Are your Cairns crazy for the tube from an empty TP roll? Fer cryin out loud, Elsa will follow me to the potty and check the trash can for them and eyball the roll when it gets low! I swear, this morning she gave the TP a couple spins with her paws for a big HINT! I wuz changin out the roll tonight (ahem) and she just shrieked for the tube! Connor chases her around trying to get it. She shreds it. Connor will eat it, so I don't let him have one. If he gets it off her I have to distract him with a treat and grab it. BUT why are they so insane to get it? Couldnt be because I tease them by talking funny thru the tube? What makes your Cairn go bananas?
Tuff&Tippy
Those are the favorite toy! Mine act as if I went to Petsmart and bought out the store when they get a fresh tube, they also had fun with the christmas paper tubes. CathyAnn
Piper LOVES the Christmas paper tubes!! When I had my wrap-a-thons on my FR floor, he'd sit and whine for me to finish a roll so he could have it. He looked hilarious running around with that huge tube!! In the end, about an hour later, he shredded them! Cathy Cathy and Piper
Dawnya
YES! Daisy is the same way! Hey, the cheaper the better. They're going to tear it up anyway!
Milopup
what a good toy idea - but will the pups eat them? if not, we could find our pup a couple of these.
kayharley
Unfortunately for my crew, we have a gerbil who has first crack at getting the TP tubes and also the paper towel ones. What makes Maddy and Elliott wacko are stuffed animals....any kind, any type.
brin145
Toilet paper on the roll, toilet paper tube, any toilet tissue in trash can- it's all wildly appealing to Crunch. If only I could get him an office job as a shredder...
lizzyb565
Fiona is the same way. She LOVES any kind of cardboard roll--be it paper towel, wrapping paper, or toilet paper. Luckily she does not eat it, but she sure does enjoy shredding it into little pieces for mommy to clean up! But hey, it's cheap and occupies her for a while Which is nice for me considering her second fascination--getting into my briefcase and finding mommy's lipsticks! haha maybe if I remembered to zip it.... savannahsmom35
Savannah loves TP rolls, paper towel rolls, and empty Christmas paper rolls. She shreds them but does not eat them. She also loves emply water bottles (the small ones) and empty boxes. If the box is small enough, she will carry it around and then shred it. At Christmas time this year, I discovered that she will just chew up the corners of large boxes that she can't pick up. Sometimes we also give her our credit card offers that we get in the mail to shred. Any paper product is in danger of being shreded at our house. We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made. -M. tlwtheq
I'm with Kay. My gerbils get first crack at the tp and pt tubes. Plus, I have to try to collect every box I can for them to much. They're busy beasts. Olie and Teddy's current favorite was given to them from Auntie Bette. It is (and I'm not making this up) a stuffed, blue, squeaky Hanukkah menorah. They can't get enough of it. Teddy is three now, but he still needs to take a squeaky toy every time he goes outside. It's really hilarious. (Hey...gotta eat, gotta play...that's their motto.) Teri9672
Teona is more of a lid monster She loves the lids off the water bottles. As soon as you sit down with a coke or water she is all over you wanting the lid.
toomanypaws
Abbey and Hannah love them, but they chew them up too fast. I usually stick w/ the plastic liter soda bottles for them to spin around. Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
MikeC
Duffy and Mickie LOVE plastic water bottles. I have to take the labels off of them first so they are not shredded throughout the house. Watching them with the bottles is almost like watching a canine hockey game. Mike
toomanypaws
Yeah, I take off the labels on the bottles first too. Another fun thing to do is give your Cairn the Christmas wrapping paper roll after the paper is gone. It's hysterical watching them run down the hall w/ the roll bumping into everything because it's too wide. Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
Bekah
I like to talk to Liddy through the Christmas wrapping paper tube..."Liddy, this is the voice of God...stop pooping in the house!"

Hee hee I see all Cairns are the same little fiends PS: Do be careful, some pups will eat the cardboard! I have to be really careful with the water bottles too because Elsa carves off sharp little pieces of plastic from the bottle neck, I mean razor sharp! I'm afraid Connor will eat one, he is just witless that way.
Milopup
Bosco loves the plastic bottles as well, but he shreds it into sharp little pieces, and we are afraid he will swallow a piece.
