toomanypaws
Shoe mentioned she received a new stuffed Cairn and I got thinking how much fun it would be to see eachother's Cairn collection. Mine is very small, but here's my stuffed Cairns. Here's my Cairn figurines. I know that little white one if probably a Westie, but he's still part of my collection. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)

Mama Kim
These are just a few of the Cairn collectibles I have. I also have another mug, some ornaments, a bookmark, a purse, and an adorable papier mache type figurine. Here we have a stuffed Cairn, a 3D mug, a plate, a mousepad and some note cards: Kim,mama to furbaby, Piper 4/13/2003 "Things that upset a terrier may pass virtually unnoticed by a Great Dane." ~ Smiley Blanton
bradl
Heaven help you once you start to collect Cairnmobilia! You'll be scouring vendors and junk shops in rising frustration. So much Scottie stuff! So much Westie stuff! Where's the Cairn stuff?! I love the bit in "Best in Show" when they drive up to the house and it's decorated in "terrier" from the mailbox down to about the last inch of the house. We don't have a Cairn mailbox, but we do have a Cairn estucheon for the doorbell I made it with a borrowed scroll-saw. Not great, but anyone visiting knows they've found the right house (if the barking doesn't give it away). Here's one of my favorite figurines. It's not a particularly great Cairn per se, but it seems somewhat unusual. It appears to be made of ceramic, with a glass 'coat.' It looks more like a Scottie in that picture than it does in real life. The head shape is more rounded and Cairn-like from the front. I love that the 'coat' is actually made from a zillion tiny, thin tubes of glass! They break off somewhat easily unfortunately, but it's in remarkable condition for all that. CAIRNTALK: Questions? wheezie23
I'm embarrassed to admit that I have absolutely nothing! I have never come across anything that resembles a Cairn, and I don't like to order stuff online that I can't touch first. But I'm always on the look out for stuff. I did get two things on ebay the other day, i got the lisence plate frame and a white vinyl window sticker that's a cairn and says "Got Cairn's?" under it. Eliz222
I want to buy the t-shirt that says "Got Cairns?"...just haven't bought it yet. I forgot that I also have a mug with Scout and Finch pictured on it and and Calender that Liz put together. We also have these pictures on a wall in our downstairs family room. I have another one that DH had framed for me, but it's not out yet....guess I had more than I thought!

kayharley
A stuffed Cairn Terrier named Aiden, mousepad, pewter keyring, framed picture of the Cairns in the Woods print, several bumper stickers that I don't want to use on my car and get all muddy/dirty (nothin butt Cairns....my Cairn is smarter than your honor student, If it's not a Cairn Terrier, it's just a dog!, Cairn Terriers are like potato Chips...you can never have just one!) Then there are the personalized Cairn Christmas ornaments, personalized Christmas stockings, a Cair Terrier County flag on my den door, three calenders...2 from the forum which I'll never write on and another that I'll write appointments on, 2 awesome Cairn Terrier cling ons that are made of "plastic" and look like stained glass ornaments that I stuck on my windows. That's all I can remember for now
Cairns2
Great thread! Thanks for reminding me I bought a Cairn Xmas ornament at Montgomery and put it away for safekeeping. Now I need to find it because I forgot all about it! Duh! We have a great assortment of Wizard of Oz memorabilia including a clock that on the hour has Dorothy and pals singing "Oh we're off to see the wizard....." Have the Cairn mousepad, several welcome signs, door mat, flag, checkbook cover, Cairn Xing yield sign at the gate, another sign at front door "WARNING! This property is protected by Cairn Security System", bumper sticker "on the 8th day God created Cairn terriers, large Sandicast figures - both light and dark Cairns, several smaller figurines, a Delft blue plate, Cairn cookie jar with matching mugs, Cairn umbrella, several Cairn pins and keepsake boxes. My favorite piece is a music box that plays "Over the Rainbow". The top is the sepia photo of Toto sitting on the tractor extending his paw to Dorothy. I keep Andy's ashes in the box. Cairnmania
I'm another one with no collectables. I had a ceramic frog collection .. but even that has been put away in boxes now. I got a bit tired of getting gift frogs - not very gracious of me perhaps, but most of them I didn't like and I felt obligated to put them on display nonetheless. I do have a gold cairn charm necklace, which a I wear quite often. That was a treat bought for myself at a dog show. I have quite a few silver coloured (nickel, I think) pins that my Cairn club sold a long while ago now. I have two small framed Cairn prints, which are actually Players Cigarettes cards from England (giveaways I guess with the cigarettes 50'ish years ago). Those I actually bought in the U.S. before I moved to England. Here in England whenever I go to antiques/collectibles fairs I always see cairn figurines and often drawings. I leave them where they are - although I have little pang of guilt about it. :-) Stacey
savannahsmom35
I have a Cairn purse and wallet, pillow that says "I love my Cairn Terrier", address labels, keychain, bumper sticker, and shirt that Savannah "gave" me for Christmas that says, " Owned by a Cairn Terrier". Where have you all found the Christmas ornaments? I have been looking for one without luck... We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. Cairns2
I bought my Cairn Xmas ornament, which I finally found, BTW, at the Montgomery show. There was a booth that had sweatshirts in the different breeds and they had the ornaments too. These are glass, about 4" in diameter and hand painted. Mine has two Cairns playing with Xmas ornaments. I also have the small figurines, which can be hung, of the Cairn angel (is there such a thing?) and the Cairn devil! I got those at a store in CT called "Raining Cats & Dogs". The larger dog shows have a nice variety of vendors and crafters and you can get some unusual items.
MikeC
I have the Toto book too. Really interesting to note that this same Cairn appeared in "Bright Eyes" with Shirley Temple and Shirley absolutely fell in love with her as if I remember correctly from my reading, Toto was a female. In "Bright Eyes" her (the dogs) name was Rags. Mike

Bekah
I can't believe all the Cairn stuff you guys have! It seems like in PA all I can find is Westie stuff. My brother often suggest buying the Westie stuff and painting it to look like Liddy, but neither one of us has the patience for the project. Darcy's Folks
I have the Toto book too and am really enjoying it. I'm about half way through. I found a really cute plaid purse with a Westie profile and since Darcy is part Westie I had to have it. When I went to take a picture of the purse tonight, Darcy HAD to get in the spotlight. ParNone
My Mom bought these for me to represent Maddie, my lil' dark colored Cairn, who's since passed away (that's why her collar's on hers) and Murph, my lil' wheaten colored Cairn. These are especially cherished, because an artist friend sclupted them (except for the Ruby slipper and the lil' Toto one). That one on the end is my Collie, Oz. And this is my X-mas present from her this year. An expressionistic painting of Murph and Maddie. I've got a lot of Wizard of Oz paraphernalia (posters, books, watches, etc) too. Les...
