Guest Posted July 23, 2003 Share Posted July 23, 2003 National Geographic Magazine February 1936 Freeman Lloyd I recently found an interesting article by Freeman Lloyd titled "Man's Oldest Ally, The Dog" in the National Geographic Magazine February 1936 pp 247 - 273. The article appears to have been ongoing and to have included a section on each group of dogs in later months. The February 1936 article included a section titled "Gallant Little Sportsman of the Terrier Tribe." "Obits on File" gives the following information: "Lloyd, Freeman: 93, authority on dogs, associate editor of Field and Stream, April 5, 1953, Tampa, FL."
