It took a year, but Tink is a true cuddler. She wants to sit in our lap, lay on top and/or between us, and be with us 24/7. The only thing that takes precedence over us is squirrel hunting. My dh works at home and she goes to him several time throughout the day and sits on his lap while he is at the computer. At night she sleeps on my lap until bedtime, then she squirms her way between us for a good nights sleep. If she gets up during the night, she doesn't like for us to get too close because when she returns to the bed she expects her place back. If we have taken over her part of the bed, she whines, and/or sticks her nose between us until we move over. Last night I fell asleep on the sofa at 10 p.m. and woke at 2 a.m. with her on top of me, all stretched out asleep. I woke at midnight with her there, and couldn't bare to disturb her. I finally got her up at 2 a.m. because my back couldn't stand lying in one position for so long. What we go through to make sure THEY are comfortable. Those who have followed my story might remember I was at the end of my rope with her a few times trying to get her housebroken. I'm sure glad I waiting because she is a doll now. I might want another before long. What am I thinking? Why would I go through that again???

What a sweet story! I remember all of the problems that you were having and I am so glad that you had a happy ending!!! She looks like such a doll!

I know what you mean about not moving when the dog is sleeping with you. I have come into work with a stiff neck or back on several occasions because I didn;t want to move during the night and disturb Savannah. When I do finally move, she moves with me, gets comfy again and then she lets out THE BIGGEST sigh everytime like, "I wouldn't have to be doing all of this if she would just be still!". Cracks me up everytime!

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.

Cute picture! That's great that she's doing so good now. Hannah is my one who loves to snuggle. Last night, she woke me at 4 a.m. from her crate to get in bed w/ us. I guess the temperature dropped too much for her. I brought her into bed and she curled up into a little ball under the blanket and was asleep before I even had pulled the blanket back over me.

I'm glad Tink is doing so well. Great story.

Is it me, or do Tink & Savannah look similar???

Darcy loves to cuddle up too on the bed. I think we've given up making her sleep in the crate... especially now that is it so cold here.

And Darcy will SIGH at the drop of a hat. It's almost like she has that teen angst and hates her parents... so anything we do... especially waking her up she will just SIGH hard! It is too funny!

Tink and Savannah do look similar judging by that picture! Maybe that is why I thought Tink was so beautiful!

Gosh, I had not realized how much Savannah and Tink look alike. I'm glad that was pointed out. I worked hard on Tink's hair this weekend, stripping a little, cleaning her ears up etc. She is getting quite patient with me. I'm not good at stripping, and only barely do it. Most of our grooming is with the Mars thing. Anyway, she looks better and I can see her sweet eyes. And --- we did cuddle quite a bit over the weekend. Tink, my grandaughter and I sat in front of the fireplace Saturday and watched movies. It was a sweet time :halo: .

Marmielin - Does Tink have dark colored ears or does it just look that way in that picture? Regardless of how many times Savannah's coloring has changed, her ears and the very tip of her tail have remained black.

It is funny you should mention grooming. Savannah had her ears trimmed this weekend (I know, bad Mommy for not stripping them but she wouldn't be still long enough) and I trimmed the hair in front of her eyes. It made a WORLD of difference in the way that she looks. I will have to take a picture of her to post so that we can really tell how similar they are. Mrskti's light cairn looks similar to Savannah and Tink as well.

Tink is ADORABLE!!!!! I love my snuggle bunnies too! Scout likes to snuggle with my DH more than me, but Finch is all over me. She is a little out of sorts right now because I just has surgery and she has to stay off of my lap for a few weeks.....poor Finch!

Sometimes I feel like their personal pillow!

That picture of Tink makes me want to reach into the screen and kiss the top of her head! I wish my Crunch would sit still long enough to snuggle....

Yes, Tink does have dark ears, but I don't think her tail has the black on it. I'll try to get a good picture of her this weekend and post it (if I can). I'm not very good at posting pictures. It took forever to get the one I put on this thread posted. I'm fairly computer literate, but not picture posting literate :P . I trimmed the hair from Tink's ears last weekend as well. I stripped some of it, but that was too slow, and I don't have the patience. They look really good now, and my dh says her ears don't look as big. He has been thinking her ears are too large, but trimming the long hair off made a big difference. You all have a good day!
