toomanypaws
Hope you guys don't mind, but I had to share these. These were totally unexpected photos. I was in the kitchen cleaning up while drilling my dd over a test she has coming up. Kiara was playing in our bedroom, seeing what toys she could steal from our Lab. Abbey and Hannah were at my feet wanting attention. I had just poured my dh a glass of Club Soda and instead of throwing the empty bottle away, I tossed it to Abbey and Hannah. I never dreamed what fun they would have. I happened to have my camera on the counter and quickly took a few pictures of them. Here's the first of Abbey taking over the Club Soda bottle. It didn't take long for Hannah to see that Abbey was having more fun than her. She jumped in to fight for the bottle. Abbey and Hannah rolled and dragged the bottle around and then brought it back to the bed where they continued to fight over it. Then Abbey jumped up and dive bombed the bed, stealing the bottle which left Hannah totally baffled. Once they started ripping off the paper, I threw it out. Next time, guess I'll take the paper off first. Thanks for letting me share. Things were hectic around here and these cute Cairns of mine sure put a smile on my face. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
JerryLv
Oh yes......a new plastic bottle is a Carin's delight (we give Zen the empty 'Arrow Head Sparkling Water Bottle') It has a long sloping neck so he can get a good grip on it and carry it around. What he likes best is that it makes noise when he bites it just right. Most of his expensive toys, bought at the Pet store, will hold his attention for about a minute, but an empty plastic bottle or the cardboard roll from a used paper towel roll is good for at least 30 minute to an hour. I stopped buying -quote, quote - doggie toys because they are way over priced. I find that a good throw rug piece from home depot or a left over toilet roll will keep him happy for hours. bubba
The empty bottles is one of Coopers favorites too! Last summer when I was the lake with them, I was hoping for a short break, so put both dogs out on the enclosed deck. When I went out about 45 minutes later, there sat an entire case of bottled water, which I thought was in a safe place, that had the lids removed from 21 bottles!!! He hadn't spilled drop of water, just took the lids off of all of them....what a hoot! pat. Children don't care how much you know...they want to know how much you care. savannahsmom35
Great pics! Savannah likes to play with empty bottles too! Funny the things that they chose to love! We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made. -M. Marge
Bear loves plastic bottles! He has become the step that preceeds the recycling bin. We have a bottle that we put some pebbles in and put the top back on the bottle....instant rattle toy. It makes lots of noise which Bear just loves. When he starts to make holes in the plastic, I just transfer the pepples to another bottle....wahla, new toy! MAKE it a GREAT day!!! Marge

MikeC
Duffy and Mickey love to play with plastic bottles also. We do take that paper off before giving them as Duffy likes to tear the paper off and shred it. Typical Cairn! Mike
CathyAnn
Love the 'dive bomb' into the bed!! Hannah looks like she is saying "What the heck are YOU doing now??". Piper loves margerine tubs. It all started as a pup when we used one for water on the deck in the summer. He pushed the tub around with his nose til it was empty and then decided it was a toy! Love these doggies!! TheScotts
Mine LOVE the bottles, but I must remove the tiny plastic ring around the neck (Connor will remove it and eat it) and I have to monitor progress of destruction because Jaws, I mean, Elsa, will gnaw little pieces off the neck and then Connor eats them. They can be kinda sharp. Connor is a garbage gut....

Eliz222
Funny pictures!!! It's always the trash they love more than their toys! Maybe Santa should just put trash in our Cairn's stockings!
