savannahsmom35
This weekend I was laying on the couch watching TV and my dh was getting ready to take out the trash. He told me to call Savannah so that he could escape out the door without her following him. I called her and out dh went. He came back in, put a new bag in the trashcan and went to get on the computer. About 10 minutes later, I realized I hadn't seen Savannah in a while so I decided to go looking for her. I walked all over the house calling her and she never came. I went out in the backyard thinking that the dh had let her out to potty, No Savannah. I went into the computer room and asked dh if he had seen Savannah. He said no. We both get up and start calling her and looking all over the house, no Savannah. I started panicing. All of a sudden my dh said, shhhh... I thought I heard some whining. Nothing. Called her name again. Nothing. I run to start checking all the closets to make sure that she didn't somehow get shut in a closet and my dh yells, "I found her!" I run in the kitchen and out Savannah comes from inside the island in the kithen! Apperently, when DH was getting the trash ready, she crawled in the island to check things out and when he shut the cabinet door, she was still in there. Poor Savannah. DH felt SOOOO bad afterwards but she didn't act like it phased her too much. These dogs find more ways to get into trouble!!! We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made. -M. Acklam Savannah's Dogster Page

kayharley
And I've left Elliott in my bedroom ALONE thinking he left with the other two when I closed my door. Wondered why one of my cat slippers was damp.
Lesley
They can also be quiet - at times - especially when you are in the panick mode of calling their name!! On a daily basis - I'm yelling "RUUUUSTY" over and over - and one of my kids will say - Mom, he's right next to you.

toomanypaws
That's funny! I too have that problem if I leave any bottom cabinet or the pantry open. Abbey and Hannah both love to explore and love to step right into the cabinets or pantry. Glad you found her and she didn't escape into the garage. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
Darcy's Folks
Hey Savannah: Sounds like an awesome adventure to me! I like to find my way into mommy's closet every now and then and I can only HOPE she shuts the door. When she does that all heck breaks loose! Shoes galore! Clothes to chew on. Things to hide under! It's a blast... until she finds me! Keep the mischief up! Love, Darcy Kate, Darcy & Bailey's mom
