So far I have some tennis balls that are scented with vanilla and chocolate and a rubber hamburger.....lol.....what will you be giving for Christmas?

I haven't quite decided yet, but I'm certain Darcy is going to have the most gifts out of everyone in our family... being that it is her first Christmas! Her stocking will be stuffed full!!! I think my mother will be spoiling her for Christmas too!

Ooohh, actually... she'll probably get a Devner Bronco collar so that she can be daddy's little girl on game days! More of a surprise for daddy than for Darcy!

I think we will be buying more frisbee's to replace some of the worn ones (don't ya know we have to have one in every room?? LOL) and some new treats.

I went crazy today at Target. They have a section at the front of the store that has bins of items for $1. I bought a dog stocking, sqeaky bowling pin, doggie house slipper chew toy, feeding bowl with the words GOOD BOY on side, doggie pin brush.....all for a buck apiece. Then I got two little doggie jackets (one AKC puffy vest and one Woolrich coat) for under 25 bucks. My husband is going to think that I have surely flipped. Especially since he has said that no dog of his will wear clothes. We shall see.... :lol:

My Mom already bought Savannah a party dress for Christmas (came from Target). She will be wearing it on her first birthday (January 8)! I don't know what else she will be getting but my Dad said my Mom already has a bag full of stuff for her. My cousin called me last night to tell me that she bought Savannah a stuffed flower from Target that squeaks. I haven't bought her any gifts yet (BAD MOMMY!) but I started her stocking last night (idea taken from the paw print stacking that someone posted on another thread). I will post a pic when it is finished.

You know Jeff Foxworthy's "You might be a redneck if..."? After re-reading my post above all I could think is "Your dog may be spoiled if..." Ok so your dog might be spoiled if members of the family that don't even live in your house are buying the dog Christmas gifts.... Sigh... such is the life of a Cairn.

She has been yearning for human grandbabies since she found out I was engaged (4 years ago)! Savannah will have to do for now...

LOL, a party dress.....that should look sooo cute on her! My mother bought my DD a smocked dress before I was even pregnant......mothers sure can be pushy!

I read this post and was thinking about what I was getting my Cairns, and totally forgot to come back here and post. I've been doing a little shopping. I too made it to Target and bought some toys for them. Then Abbey's birthday was last week and I realized that Kiara and Hannah would expect something too. You can't reason w/ them! They want what they want when they want it. :lol: So, after Abbey opened her birthday presents, I dug through the Target toy bag for Kiara, Hannah, and my Lab.

A new Petsmart opened in our town, so I bought some toys there. I also bought the girls each a stuffed candycane from Pet Supermarket for $1.99. Last year I ordered each of them one online at $4.99 ea. :mad: Hannah is my travel buddy and loves riding in the car w/ me. Kiara hates riding, and Abbey gets car sick. I bought Hannah a leather jacket w/ a faux fur collar. She loves clothes. Abbey will tolerate them and Kiara will pout and not move until the clothes are removed.

I think to save some money, I'd be smart to wrap them each up a paper towel roll. Kiara's ultimate gift would be a toad (live or dead), but that's not going to happen. :D

Somer, good luck with that (fleece blanket idea). We rotate out 5 different ones in Darcy's crate and for cuddling with... she still manages to grab the one that "I" want to use! LOL!!!!
