kayharley
I find so much humor in this daily scenerio..... I leave for my afternoon "shift" at work around 1:00 although I'm always running a tad late and getting flustered. All I have to say is "NightNight" and Maddy immediately heads for her crate and lies down. Winnie then goes into the den/crate room and lies down too. Elliott, however, just has to run down the hallway in the opposite direction and sit by the stairs looking at me. He refuses to come. I walk towards him only to have him start running around the dining room table, running around the kitchen island and THEN he will retreat to his crate with me in tow. It reminds me so much of that Christmas song with Alvin and the Chipmunks only with Elliott playing the bad boy part. Okay, Winnie? Okay! Okay, Madison? Okay! Okay, Elliott? Elliott? ELLIOTT!!!! OKAY!!! A day without laughter is a day without a Cairn.

Guest rottndobie
I just love the quirky personality these Cairns have. There is never a dull moment with them around. That was a cute story about Elliott.
toomanypaws
Your post makes me laugh because I understand exactly what you're going through. On the days I don't work, Hannah rides along w/ me when I take my dd to school. Kiara always goes to her bed and Abbey goes into her crate when she hears my car keys. Hannah is always hoping that she's going w/ me and doesn't understand the days I work. On those days, her ears go flat against her head and she refuses to look at me. I tell ya, that face of hers makes it really hard to leave her. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
Paula
Everything sounds so familiar when I read the posts in this forum. I've had Holly for two months and already I can't imagine my life without her. Cairns add so much fun and spice to our lives!!! "A day without laughter is a day without a Cairn." I couldn't agree more!!!!!!!!
hallswel
Kay It must be the third one, I can tell mine go to your rooms I have a cookie and Rebel and Robi run into the crates but Sugar is busy checking to see what it is I am giving them. After she knows what they got and is sure she will like it then she will go to her room. She sometimes will sit in front of the door trying to fool me that she is in her crate. gotta love em Liz Rebel, Hammurabi, Sugar, Dirty Harry, Paint, Duncan and Saffron
savannahsmom35
I love Elliot. I think he looks at his older siblings and says, "Whatever they do, I will do the opposite!" He is such a mess! We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made. -M. Guest Darcy's Mom
Well, look at it this way, you never have a dull day! Elliot is the rebel and I think you deal with it great! And how would you rather be entertained anyway? Can't think of anything better than "Helliot's" antics.
Eliz222
Cairns....what would we do without them??? LOL! My DH, and I, often sit in our hot tum and talk about the "girls" as if they were our "human kids"......something only Cairn owners understand!
