kayharley
Just thumbing throught the recent Plow and Hearth catalog and on page 13 is a picture of an adorable Cairn resting on a dog bed....just too cute. I think our breed is finally getting some recognition in the advertising world. I can't wait to see a Cairn on the cover of Better Homes and Gardens http://www.plowhearth.com/product.asp?sect...dex=&pcode=9694

toomanypaws
It's about time we start seeing more cairns. I noticed they're out of stock on the smallest size for $89.95. Kiara and Abbey share a bed w/ no problem, but Kiara won't share a bed w/ Hannah. Abbey shares w/ her tho, but that's still alot to pay. Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
bradl
I love seeing Cairns and the more the merrier, but heaven protect us from becoming a popular breed. CAIRNTALK: Vote! | Questions? Guest rottndobie
They also made the cover of the current fall Care-A-Lot catalog. A really adorable picture too.
CathyAnn
Piper just loves beds with "headrests".....my other Cairn, Toto, did, too. Brad.....I totally agree with your comment about Cairns becoming 'too popular'. Cathy Cathy and Piper
kayharley
Yes Brad...that would be awful. I see the YorkiePoo's, Cockapoos and the Schnoodles. God only knows what other combined breeds are next in line. Can you imagine a CairnPoo or a Cairnauzer? Sad

Tracy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I too have seen alot of these so called new breeds and there's just something missing in their look. Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
pjoes_girl
Another thing is, The prices they want for these mixes are almost as much as a pure bread. Why ? craziness... and the cairn isn't for everyone. There's just breeds that shouldn't be Popular. like when dalmations were, there were alot of problems... pjoes_girl
Back to the bed. I can't use them for my dog, he pees on them, and tears them up
Brigette
I also thought that was a Cairn at first, but I'm thinking no way would a Cairn lay still and behave that well
kayharley
I don't know about that, Brigette. Have you seen some of the Cairn photos Hallswell and Toomanypaws have taken? And there are other members who do amazing things with their cameras and their Cairns....I just happen to not be one of them.
