Looking for a Cairn

Please keep Cairn Talk a marketplace of ideas, not a marketplace of animals. Discussion about breeding theory and practice is fine but any use of the board to solicit placement of animals is not. This includes posting requests for others to contact you, posting links directly to pages where puppies or placements are offered by an individual, making referrals to specific breeders, and any posting that could even remotely be considered a solicitation.

In addtion, the poster had misrepresented themselves in their profile as a member of the CTCA. I've deleted the posts rather than simply edit them down so that the poster may continue to participate without stigma, if they choose to read and abide by forum rules.

Hi,

I wish you luck in your quest for a Cairn. You can't go wrong with this breed. They are great little dogs! Please buy one from a reputable breeder and not a pet store. Unfortunately, puppies that you find in pet stores usually come from puppy mills and the quality of the breeding is questionable. My sister bought a registered "Cairn" puppy from a pet store and now that he is grown, he is so far from the breed standard that it isn't even funny.

Good luck!
