Cairn Rescue Not Taking Dogs with Bite History

I've recently learned from Col. Porter and the Cairn Rescue Club of Chicago that these rescue organizations are no longer accepting Cairns with any history of biting. I'm not looking for a placement here (which I understand would violate posting rules), but I could use some advice. As we all know, Cairns are a special breed and require a special owner who is familiar with all their behavioral traits. Where do I go for help in finding a placement for my dog, especially since there's not a Cairn Club in my town - Louisville, KY?
