It's been a long time since I've been on because our lives have taken a great turn! Some of you know my DH and I have been waiting a LONG time to adopt a baby. Well, our dream has finally come true! Our son was born on 9/9/05 and we brought him home the next day. Carolina has taken to him and will lay right beside him when he's in his bouncy seat. Just wanted to share!

Oh my goodness, they are both so precious! Congratulations on your new baby boy! Don't forget, everytime the baby gets a new toy, so does Carolina. :D She has that look as if she's waiting patiently for the baby to jump up and play w/ her. Little does she know, how active that little sleeping baby is going to be.

Congratulations on your baby boy!! I really am SOO happy for you! Babies are truley a miracle from God and you are an angel for taking him in!

P.S - Carolina already looks like the protective big sister! That picture is priceless!

That picture brought tears to my eyes, it is so sweet. And Carolina will be a great big sister. She probably will be very protective of him. What is the little guy's name?

There is a special place in heaven for people who adopt. I know, as I am adopted too.

Thanks everyone! I just hope once he becomes mobile Carolina will still like him. Currently she does not like it when little kids chase her, however she never bites, just runs away!

What is the little guy's name?

His name is Nathan. It's interesting that once we started the adoption process and told people about it, just how many people are touched by adoption one way or the other!

Savannah's mom, WE are the lucky ones and are forever grateful to Nathan's birthparents for choosing us to be his parents! :wub:

Congratulations Nathan. Welcome Home. Your Mamma, Daddy and sister sure do love you little guy. You have a lot of Aunts and Uncles out here so tell Mamma to keep us posted with lots of pictures of you and Carolina. :magic:

So now it will be pampers instead of paper towels, pacifiers instead of kongs, baby wipes instead of Natures Miracle, cribs instead of crates..... :lol:

May God Bless you and your little one, Nathan. I can't wait to see pics of him and Carolina as he grows up.

This is wonderful news. I've just been observing lately, and not writing, but I had to say something about this because it is close to my heart. I was an adopted baby myself, and am thankful for the love I had. Anyway, it looks like your two will be great friends. Congratulations.
