Anyone else's cairn have a tan line? I notice that the skin on my pup's back, where the sun shines down on him, is a much darker, not black but dark, skin color, whereas the skin on his belly / underside is a very very light pink. Is this normal? :confused::confused:

Scout and Finch's skin is quite white/light pink under their hair...on the back. What part of the back are you asking about? The skin right on top of his back? I think if the skin is that much darker on Bosco's back, you might want to ask the vet about it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

The skin on top of his back is darker than the skin on his belly (underside) - so that is not normal? :( The skin is not black, just darker - dumb question, but do pups need some type of sun protection? **Is worried now** :(
