Posey
We have a 11 month old Cairn, Nicky. We have had him nine months now. I am not sure what is a natural hair coat. But Nicky does not shed much. In fact if he is brushed daily or every other day-he sheds nothing at all. Lovable and full of mischief seems to describe him. Got to take good watch over them as they are natural chasers and will run after anything. Posey
Guest
We have had our Cairn, Meli, for six months now. We just love her, although she does shed quite a bit (in my opinion). I brush her about 3X a week and bathe her at least once every two weeks, and she still she sheds. However, the shedding does seem to be slowing down now that her puppy coat is almost gone. I'm wondering if it would slow down even more if we had her stripped now. :?:
Susan
Yes, stripping your dog would really help with shedding. Cairns do not normally shed much if they're stripped periodically. Susan
