Cairns2
Our local paper had an article this morning about this website www.dogfriendly.com. They just released the top 10 most dog friendly cities in the U.S. and Canada and the top 10 resorts that allow dogs. This website gave me some nice tips before our trip to Maine. The top 10 cities included Seattle, Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, Vancouver B.C. and Tucson. They based this on the number of parks, restaurants, lodging and other amenities that welcome dogs. Thought it might be helpful for any of you planning a trip with your Cairns. Brad, if this is against the rules, my apologies and you may delete this. toomanypaws
Thanks for the info. Pets welcome.com shows some more place that are dog friendly. I used this site when I was looking for a cabin in N.C. vacationrentals Just click on the state, then click on the city you're interested in. Scroll down and look for paw prints which means pets are welcome. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
bradl
Good info. Thanks for sharing. Wish the US were more dog-friendly. And wish more dog-owners were responsible enough to warrant it. A restaurant welcoming a dog under your feet should not be a rare treat! CAIRNTALK: Questions? Milopup
Bosco and I lived in San Diego, and it is indeed a very dog friendly city. Of course the Target there has mean security guards who don't always let you in, even if the puppy is in a soft carrier.
Guest girliejr
I live in Dallas, and Jack gets an occasion trip to Petsmart. That's about the only public place that is "pet friendly" arround here (except for parks of course). That is good info to have! Thanks!
