bubba
Yep! I had to change Yoda and Cooper's names today after they killed what I think was a mouse in the backyard and then a baby bird! They tried to get it's mother but she was too quick! So now I live w/a couple of murderers...Killer and Sassy (short for assassin!)...but boy were they proud of themselves!!! pat. Children don't care how much you know...they want to know how much you care.

MikeC
Pat, I love the "new" names! What can you do........it's their instinct. Hopefully the mouse and bird populations will spread the word to their other furry and feathered friends and they will all stay out of Killer and Sassy's way :ninja: Mike
Pepandfriend's mom
I really really hate when my dogs do that. The last time it was the Westie, with a baby bird. I had to deal with it (nobody else there) and will just stop there. Felt so darn sorry for the poor bird though I realize this is totally instinct -- Pam
kayharley
I love your way of thinking, Mike C. That is exactly how I hope it is going to be here. Although I love all God's creatures, it's the "chain" that dominates and we can only go along with it. I love my dogs more than I care about any bird/rodent/stray cat....and if my Cairns can help clean up this over-populated source of possible disease, I can't fight it nor would I want to. I hope they spread the word....maybe it will help with this disgusting, foul smelling feces I'm finding not only in our yard but now around the woodpile and on top of it. toomanypaws
Well, obviously toads don't have a clue how to spread the word to other toads to stay out of our yard. I've lost count of how many toads Kiara has killed. What's bad is she's showing Hannah what fun it can be and I caught Hannah chasing a baby toad through the yard. It's so true, you can't do a thing about their instincts. Different breeds behave differently. If my lab sees a toad in the yard, he'll just touch it w/ his nose as if to say hello. Kiara goes for the jugular. The last snake she killed, she shook him inside out. <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/maiwag/terriersiggy.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" /> Beth, mom to Ninja (5), Hannah (7), Abbey (7 1/2), Kiara (10)
Bekah
There was some kind of roadkill on our street yesterday and Liddy was going crazy over it. My mom took her for a walk and she said Liddy kept pulling and pulling to go over and examine it (but of course my Mom wouldn't let her). I don't think Liddy's ever killed anything and I'd be really grossed out if she ever did.
