What can you tell me about a cairn puppy born with a slick coat? Any advantages/disadvantages? Thanks.

Hi.

I don't know how old your pup is but I do know Charlie was "slick" when we got him -- or I should say he just didn't have much hair at all and what he did have was slick to his body.

He is looking more and more like a YAK every day! :P

By "slick", do you mean oily? Finch has an oily coat too. It has gotten much dryer in the past months, but she had a "sheen" to her hair too. I'm glad it's growing in much dryer because I like the "fluffy" look much better! :D
