Posted January 1, 20241 yr January 1 2024 in central Alberta should be cold and covered in snow….there is none. I am actually raking up leaves with Sam supervising to make sure I do a proper job. Although it’s nice we don’t have to worry about coats and boots for the dogs when walking them every day but I have an aweful feeling I will be replacing cedars and perennials 😝 Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened. - Anatole France Adventures with Sam &Rosie

January 9, 20241 yr Yes winter is slow to arrive even in Idaho this year. Only this week has it felt like winter with single digits and measurable snow fall. Sam your little garden helper is adorable in the picture!!
January 12, 20241 yr Cold -- zero F and below hitting here this weekend too. No snow to speak of, so garden likely to suffer. Dogs are reluctant to go out -- sometimes it even gets too cold for my rough and ready boys...brrr.

January 16, 20241 yr I thought we were cold at -8 degrees! Atticus is having a hard time going outside and this morning he was limping. I'm going to try boots on him and see if that helps.
