Barbs Dog Logic
Sadly, our Best in Show Speciality winning boy, call name Chyp and affectionately nicknamed "the Noodle" by my husband Jeff, passed away from lung cancer January 11, 2023. It was one of the saddest life events in our lives. Chyp won Best in Show at the SuMac Minnesota Specialty in 2014 and subsequently kept winning placements in the group ring during our Conformation competition phase in my life. Honored with becoming a Bronze Grand Champion, the AKC congratulated me as the #1 Owner Handler Cairn in 2014. Chyp and his Mommy (Dezi Diamond Rays) are in the lifetime top achievement short list. Dezi passed away February 2020. BISS Bronze Grand Champion Alkay SnowedOn Chyp-Boom O’Ray CD,PCD, BN, RA, CA, ACT1, TKA we will never have another dog like Chyp. He was one in a million. our hearts are so sad to see him go.

Barbs Dog Logic
thank you so much! He was also a trick dog, so many cute tricks. Perhaps no person asked for votes, as Cairn of the year even though he passed away 2023, can he still earn such an honor... can I do that? 1
calypso
My girls have been having fun with tricks, too. Both earned Trick Dog Advanced this year, and it is such fun for them. I think Cairns are natural wannabe circus dogs. I love the trick picture with Chyp on your shoulders, and that’s one I should try with my girls.
