Me and my shadow

I came across a photo I took back when Ghillie was about 9 months old. My friend had a beautiful cairn named Jordy who was the reason I decided on cairns in the first place. I knew I wanted a terrier and totally fell in love with Jordy as I saw he grow up. He was fairly old when this picture was taken and Ghillie just loved him. It was interesting because Ghillie was totally rambunctious as most cairns at that age but when he was around Jordy, he was as gentle as a lamb. Jordy has gone to the rainbow bridge some years ago but I feel like his spirit lives on in Ghillie. Ghillie is now 9 years old and still seems like a puppy.

Awww, that is such a sweet picture and wonderful memory. I too like to feel that when my king of all labs went to rainbow bridge, that he left his spirit in my younger lab (Thor) and Kiara (the only cairn I had at that time). Sometimes I do see traits of my first lab in Thor. Kiara really loved my first lab, adored him and followed around under him all through the yard. He was a big baby when it came to thunderstorms and I really think Kiara picked this up from him being she's now the big baby around here during storms.
