Great article. Climate very much like the Western Isles. And it's true that though it rarely gets below freezing the damp and cold and wind pierce your bones. No doubt our Cairn's and Scottie's coat evolved to deal with this. Angus's skin never gets wet no matter how muddy rainy or windy it may be. Not for nothing that thick soft undercoat under the harsh outer one.

Photo is so awesome, I'm almost ready to pack my bags! Unfortunately, WSJ paywall prevented me from reading the article.🙁
