Oban's gotcha day

Eight years ago today, on June 29, 2013, we picked up Oban from his breeder. It was the day after I retired. 

We also had my 15-year-old cairn Allie at home. She was a very assertive gal, and Oban, a more laid-back fellow even at 3 months, seemed like he would fit in.  We lost Allie late that year but Oban filled the void, a special and only dog for 5 years until we got Angus. I have had several cairns but none have been as close to me as Oban. 

Here's to my puppy love!

Belated congrats!   "Gotcha" day-- love that!  (I realized that Spike came to us just about a year ago, so he's probably just under two years old.)
