Gus is 13 years old today!

Here he is after spending 4 hours at the “spa” getting stripped - and he still has that one sticky-out whisker I call his whisker lick.

At 13 he is the best buddy ever, setting a good example for my kids’ pandemic puppies, and getting more cuddly all the time. Love him to pieces. 

Grandson and I will take him to the pet store later today to pick out a yummy present.

A teenager! Glad he seems to love his cuddles -- the humans at that age don't seem to! And he seems quite trim, so I hope he gets his fill of yummy treats.

Kathryn, I always think he is looking chunky until he is stripped. Because I only get it done twice a year it is pretty drastic! Down to the underwear this time.

Gus has the perfect cairn “Stare”.  (Maybe other cairns have it too). Ruffy and I used to play the “staring game” and he always won, when I would blink or laugh. My favorite game was to cup both hands around his face and move in so close that our noses would touch as we looked deep into each other’s eyes. Oh how I miss him!

Sanford, if I try to do that to Oban, he always licks me on the nose!
