Sam and the evil cat

Sam I Am

Recommended Posts

I am starting to think that cats are inherently evil taunting creatures sent from the under world. Last night after settling into bed with a good book Sam went crashing down stairs barking his head off. We always pay attention to this as he is an amazing watchdog..better than any alarm system! When I got downstairs Sam was looking out the front door trying his hardest to wake up the whole neighbourhood...there was a cat sitting quietly on the sidewalk enjoying every moment of this hysterical dog outburst. Meanwhile Sam is bashing up against the bow window yowling, barking, whining...there was nothing I could do but pick him up, take him upstairs, put the gate across the stairs and then listen to him barking and whining at me to let him down stairs. After about 1/2 of this torture I thought for sure  the cat must have left as his entertainment buddy wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Huh....I creeped downstairs and there was the cat lying full out in front of our window washing it paws!!! Up stairs again, gate in place, more whining which eventually did stop. This morning first thing, gate down, Sam running to the front window...thank goodness the cat had moved on....no doubt to taunt another canine.😈
