After losing Jock I never thought I would ever have another Cairn in my life because I truly believed that no other Cairn could fill my heart the way he did.  It took three years, before i found  Sam...but Sam has filled my heart again. Thank you little one. Happy Birthday 🎂🎂

Happy birthday, Sam! Hope you get everything for your birthday you wish for. Be sure to try to share your birthday treats with your sister...

(Though of course this is not advice that either Oban or Angus would give...)

It was the same with me and Ruffy. After losing Carrington, I felt the same way as you did.

The odd thing for us was that when I brought Ruffy home it disturbed me to discover that although I liked him a lot and was glad to have him, I honestly didn't feel the same deep love that I took for granted with Carrington. It took me a (short) while to understand that Ruffy was a completely different personality, with his own remarkable and endearing traits. Before I was aware, Ruffy had "filled my heart again"!
