Unspoken words

Sam I Am

Recommended Posts

I am always amazed how our dogs when living in such close quarters with us, how many signals be it verbal or through body language they “get” us.

Just an add on: I especially find the note about tailing wagging to the right means one thing and to the left means another. I will have to observe Sam and Rosie.

Here's a classic example of "eye contact" as means of communication for Cairn Terriers.  Even without the text and vocal narration any viewer can clearly see that both dogs and especially Bonnie expect the human to "do something" and to do it immediately.  This is an old video but it does show the quantity and quality of "communication" that occurs between the dog and human.  Enjoy.

Idaho I also noticed they’re very obedient with the come here verbal command. That pretty much sums it up for our two also LOL
